Considering how costly it is to purchase some or all of the new options that Lindsey and the Live Team have implemented ($15 for a name change on top of $10 for a gender change is simply ridiculous), I would like to suggest ANet put together a 4th Year Anniversary Pack.

This pack would include:

• 4 additional storage tabs
• 5 Makeover credits
• 3 Extreme Makeover credits
• 3 Name Change credits

I would be much more willing to pay $50 for that type of pack than any amount for the smaller, over-priced transactions, considering I am an under-paid, over-worked grad student.

What are everyone’s thoughts?

<-- student who lost job due to recession, fail. The things are way to expensive for someone with little/no income, a pack as you suggested would be quite good, i haven't done the math but im sure you buying in bulk it would cost less.

these additions should have been included from the beginning so to charge for the update is like money grabbing to me. Is GW2 going towards micro transactions as well?

Some of the changes are overpriced but people asked for them so I don't blame Anet charging any amount.

Name change ok just how long does it take playing a character to decide you don't like the name Gender hairstyle or class.

I was able to work all of those out inside of one day at which point I dumped everything into storage if able to and started again.
Anyone who plays for years then suddenly decides their name isn't right or they should be a different gender can pay.

So for all of those where its likely to be a one off change either bite the bullet and pay, live with it or start again.

Storage ok I am happy with the starter bags at 2.5k a go its a lot but I have it after 4 years play so np there.
Free pane of storage was a bonus again I am happy.
Not going to pay for more and am unlikely to spend a year playing missions to get bigger bags.

Would have preferred storage increase to have been solved by more items stacking but its not my call.

The idea is that the prices don't seem quite right when you take everything into account.

Let’s look at three examples:

1) We can get a Char slot for $10 which gives you 45 slots of storage, plus a free mini every year (and sometimes the option to do holiday/event quests) for the same price for 25 storage slots with the simple continence of being able to access that box with all characters. The cost/benefit is way off for that example. $5 Would be fair.

2) An Extreme Makeover costs $10 for one, which is changing a few lines of code in a database when it comes down to it. You get 5 regular makeovers for the same price, which still changes all the same points of information except for the “Gender” data. Honestly it is that simple – look at armor from a male character in your storage while on a female and the armor will appear as the female pieces. There should be either no price difference, or Extremes should be $5 and include a name change (see below).

3) On top of changing your character’s gender, if you have a name like “Ted the Manly”, you are going to want to change your name too, which costs a ridiculous $15. Name changes were in place before they were added as a pay option – yes devs spent time making it a player controlled option, but $15 is a price designed to dissuade people from changing names, not recoup costs of implementation. Bundle it with Extreme for $5, and limit it to one name change per char per month.

YOU would be willing to pay $50.

Anyone that wanted to change their characters name, face or hair for whatever reason has done it already. Only a very small group of people would want to change their characters that much.

Yes, I would pay this.

YOU do not have the ability to understand every single person's unique situations and preferences, so please refrain from referring to "everyone" when you state your unique opinion.

I would like a fresh feel for the game, but I can't abide the pricing structure.

Now, if YOU would like to provide some constructive feedback, I am sure I and others would appreciate it.
